3 years 4 months 2 days

3 years 4 months and 2 days of an incredible journey I must say...

Starting with "the date is fixzzed" training days ... to blabbering "Jesus Christ .... and bloody with the same bated breath” - courtesy of Joseph and off course a "head full of metadata" ... traversing the entire bloody days and nights to the "public full time pass karta hai" generation ... Hmmmmmm what do I say ... guess I don't have much to say ... but I can't sign off without a deep gratitude to all those who helped me be what I am both professionally and personally...

Vamshi - thank you so much for letting me explore and learn...

Sandeep thanks a lot for making me – “think different” (well I am trying though I am still not there) a major keyword in all the discussions that we had over a pack of cigarettes and night out's ... I am sure I’ll never forget the "bombaooms, pattis, charts, saheeeeeeeeeee ... " of manageme fame ... n off course how can I forget the "public kaha hai - tarae ko toe aaisae marunga ... " and the best one being "Amit - tarae duniya mei kya chal raha hai ???? " thanks so much for making the journey so memorable :)

Hari - thank you so much for all your valuable inputs for everything - thank you so much for letting me bug you with all ridiculous questions that I was confused with...

Dhiren – thank you for helping me out in my initial days when I was just another novice with "slumdog millionaire" dreams joining the industry :)

Well last but not the least my team :)... Neethi - u r just awesome a PL/SQL guru in the making and someone whom I could bug at any point of time ... Sekar – for being a great lead /Amit – jahapana tussi great ho/Bindiya/Narasimha ... for the guidance and valuable inputs ... deepak/bonda/tanya - so much for all the fun ... and off course sameer/shaida (- I got this wrong again) for all the times we got screwed for EJB migration ... again tanya/shaida/neethi - for letting me dig into your lunch boxes at my free will :) .. I am sure you must have cursed me for that at one point of time or the other ... and by the way that bloody fellow - Stephan ... Senthil the quintessential shy guy busy with his color pallet ... and topgun murgan ... engulfed with GM Sheet issues (btw congrats for your engagement) ... Deepak who keeps hunting for gray lines ... Pramella madam ... you and your testing what can I say ... lol ... Jumbo Rani always glued to her seat and Bacchan confusing people with his requirements - thanks guys for everything ... :)

Well I guess that was more than enough for "guess I don’t have much to say" ... thank you very much for everything please do keep in touch ... :) and by the way it was just awesome checking all the servers - all of them are awesome - n well I may have missed some names here - but I guess "to err is human" ... so here I go after bugging you all to bug someone else now...

So on a serious note - thanks again for everything ... guess its a time for introspection ... a time to look back on good old memories ... a time to rectify all the mistakes that I have made ... a time to try and avoid thoughtless implementations ... a time to start something new ... a time to move on ...

Rafting @ Cauvery Fishing Camp - Bangalore

Ok ... so here i am writing my first blog ever ... dunno how it's gonna go ... Anyway after a night of heavy intoxication with vodka and beer I was up at 5:15 hours all geared up abeit with my head spinning and guys getting pissed of because I woke them so early .. after all it was Saturday morning :) i was ready to go as usual ... dunno where i get this energy from but i do have plenty of it when needed.

5:30 Hrs:
Waiting for the guys to turn up can be terrible and specially when ur head is throbbing and u gotta stand out there at the traffic signal with ur stomach empty (due to a night of heavy puking) and above all if u gotta wait for someone like Mr.A then I am sure you are not gonna like it. Finally after about 5 or 6 calls to Mr. A and after getting a confirmation that he just about to reach n "is round the corner" he turns up after 30 mins ... thank God that he atleast did turn up. So its 6.30 by now and finally after much haggling and swearing the choicest words available at the auto walas we finally landed up at the City Railway Station. By the way the auto wala was in sync with Mr.A's ability to meet his time - with his pace of driving.

7.30 Hrs:
The guide arrives ... some guy with a P cap ... i guess that is what its called - correct me if i am wrong and someone who is gonna explain u the nitty gritty details of a simple question such that u r left thinking that it was better off not asking :) so finally we are off in a minivan ... guys high on spirit after having some idli's and dosa's i guess :P

The Drive:
Bangalore traffic is best when there is no traffic - i guess thats what happens during the wee hours of the day :) so we were finally speeding along the Kanakpura Highway after picking up two more techies like us .... n oh! how can i forget the music ... it was awesome ... some bloody song in some bloody language but out of the blue Evash was upto it and seemed to enjoy it all the while humming away - "when in rome do as the romans do" ... but i'll give u 50p the next time u hum so please stop. Anyway ... the road was good and the driver better looked like he was some F1 freak overtaking at the bends and irritating all the motorist that came his way and at times managing to thrill us to the point that we mutually agreed that it was like playing NFS2 on a huge and i mean a really huge projector. So after getting a lot of adreanalin rush along the way and off course the terrian was good something like the Peshok Road (for those of u who have never been to Darj ... this is an awesome stretch of road between Kalimpong & Darj)and guys started talking about a feeling of being at home :) we finally reached the place.

Rafting @ Cauvery Fishing Spot:
It's an awesome place I tell you and specially if you wanna go on a date or just for adventure and off course you do have enough cash then this is the place to go to. Clean by the riverside with tents n hamocks around and if u do have a liking for adventure then this is the place. So finally on reaching we were busy relaxing in the lap of nature or rather too busy taking snaps :) and off course as usual guys were upto some monkey business of theirs ... n how can i forget to mention guys ogling at some busty babe out there lol ..... we were off to a great start ... 6 of us on a raft with the instructor and off we were ... paddling like not so trained oarsmen on his command of forward and back and relax .... with boat fights going on all round us it was in simple terms cool - the high point being rafting through the rapids ... though not too high but enough to excite you if u r a novice like I am and I tell you when u r rafting be clever enough to be the person sitting at the front because you'll be hit first by the waves and its thrilling - sitting at the back is in simple terms boring. So after about 5 kms of rafting down the river through calm waters n small rapids we come to a point where out of the blue the instructor tells you to relax ... pass all your paddles to the front of the raft and "Jump" - that was cool ... when guys were getting desperate to jump into the water on their own it was a releif i tell you. Its cool and awesome some 20/30 ft of water under you and u just have a good time relaxing and floating all around but better remain within the limits of the raft or u might end up like Mr. A who though did not drown but was sacred to death because of some undercurrent pulling him :) . Anyway after this we were hauled onto the rafts again and finally finished the 7/8 km stretch.

15:30 Hrs:
Finally all exhausted and bundled into the minivan we head back home ... silence prevails ... everyone is concked out ....the guide keeps on blaberring in a monotone ... the adreanalin rush continues along the highway - thanks to the driver .... it was "awesome shit" - his driving i mean + the entire trip itself .... try it out :)
